Tips for every book

  • Let them try first

    Hold back the answer for a minute. Having a go is the fun part, even when it goes wrong.

  • Hints before answers

    Point at a clue instead of solving it. "What comes after the yellow one?" works better than showing them.

  • Wrong is useful

    A wrong guess tells you what to try next. Say "not yet, try again" and keep it light.

  • Pick their level

    Pages start easy and get trickier. It is fine to skip ahead or come back to a page later.

  • The answers are at the back

    Check together at the end. Finding their own mistake is a win too.

  • Celebrate the finish

    The certificate at the end is for the effort, not only the right answers.
